A Brief History

Built York 1903. Working over a number of routes in the North East (including Scarborough - Filey and Selby - Cawood)

Built with Clerestory roof, Bow ended body, matchboard panelled sides.

New equipment fitted 1923. This being a 6 cylinder petrol engine

Withdrawn 1930 (was out of use by 1928)

The field

Been used as a Holiday home near Pickering until the late 90's when the owner passed way. Rescued in July 2003, but had been cut in two.

Future

This project has placed in tot he care of a dedicated trust to attract funding for a full restoration. Stephen Middleton is setting up this trust with two colleagues. ( 1903 Electric Autocar Trust ) Donations welcome for this unique project
